A Few of My Favorite Things…A Birthday/Thank You GIVEAWAY!

Eeek!  How has a week already passed since my last post!?!  Sneaks had an operation a few days ago (All routine; all good : )), and between the 10+ hour drive to-and-from South Salem, NY where his doctor is located (You can read more about that, here), and tending to my patient, time has flown by!  {Aside…I also went into major cleaning mode as soon as we got home.  I am not sure if it was some weird form of my nesting instincts coming up, but everything had to be spick-and-span for Sneaks’ recovery.  Totally nutso, I know, but nothing is too good – or apparently too clean – for my little man!}

Anyway…I am really excited that I finally had the chance to put this particular post together as I have been wanting to do a more personal giveaway for a while now.  I can never say enough how grateful I am to be able to work on this blog, and to share it with all of you!  I appreciate all of the support I get on a daily basis and love waking up knowing I get to do something I love {Best. Feeling. Ever. ♥}.  That being said, my Birthday is rapidly approaching so I thought it would be the perfect time to send some of that love back, and give YOU a gift!  One winner (I wish everyone could win!) will be selected at random (On my BDay – August 14th – naturally!) to receive all of the items pictured here/listed below {~ A few of my absolute, most favorite, things!}.  Good Luck!

♥  #GIRLBOSS { Such wisdom; so many wonderful quotes! }

    The best gift I ever received was just recently from my mom. When my sister and I were kids, she used to tuck little surprises into our coat pockets. Now that we’ve grown up and moved away it’s impossible to do that, but for a late Christmas gift, my mom brought down a box filled with a bunch of tiny little packages all wrapped up, the kind of little surprises she would have left in my pockets. A fav treat, orange flavoured tic tacs. A little silver star that says “inspire” on it. Funky hair clips. New mascara. It was so fun to open everything, and just the thoughtful kind of gift that only a mother would think to give.

    I want to wish you a sincere happy early birthday. :) I think the idea of giving others a gift on our special day is fantastic. This year I started a new tradition on my own birthday (July 29th), of asking others for THEIR wishes and lighting a candle for them instead of making birthday wishes for myself. Maybe next year I’ll do a giveaway of my own. :)

      What a wonderful story, Reina! You are right – Only a Mom would think of something that meaningful/special. I love how those seemingly ‘little things’ stick with us from our childhoods too; they are often the best : )

      Happy Belated Birthday! I think making wishes for others is a wonderful thing to do!!! XO

  2. I hope Sneaks is recovering well and you are well too. This is a great idea by sharing your birthday. Good stuff!

    The BEST gift I ever received is actually twofold – – this may sound corny but comes from the deepest part of a mother’s heart – – my two amazingly beautiful daughters! They have evolved into women who are kind, intelligent and loving – – I couldn’t ask for more and count my blessings everyday!!

      I was such a mess with my little guy…I actually shed a few tears of relief when the Dr. called to say his surgery was done (Dramatic, much!? : )), but I think there is no such thing as loving – or worrying about – our babies too much. I am sure Bear will be A-OK! XO

    Best gifts have been my Mom coming to visit me for my birthday, a few months before she died and my friend gifting me money “infusions” over my 21+ month on the road journey.

    I appreciate your generosity and hope you have a wonderful birthday! You joy, enthusiasm, love of family, food and fun things is such a joy to read about.

      It’s funny how the people who love us always seem to know exactly what we need, at exactly the right time : )

      Thank You so much for all of your sweet words!

    I am not sure I can pick just one favorite gift…a recent favorite is flowers my partner picked for me on our trip in Germany, which I dried and now keep in my travel diary.

    The best gift I’ve ever received was Andy my fiancé …
    I know it sounds horribly corny but oh so true… He loves his family to the end of the world.. I am always lifted, supported and spoiled by my sweet man.

    The best gift I have ever received was a dainty ring that says “love” from my husband on our six year anniversary, it is somehow even more special than the wedding ring itself.
