This is a post that I have been meaning to write for a long time.
When I am in Upstate New York, or more specifically, Central New York (Sherrill), I receive a lot of questions regarding where I shop for food.
The short answer to that is the grocery store, of course; more often than not, Wegmans.
There are other places in this area, however, that you could call hidden gems. These are the markets and stores in which I source unique ingredients, like the strawberry spinach you see above, and overall, purchase my favorite whole-food-living finds.
My home base is in Sherrill, so these locations are within a 10-30 mile radius.

These are my must buy-from vendors…
Floral Root: There is nothing that I love more than a big, beautiful bouquet of flowers, and Floral Root delivers. I purchased the Lisianthus you see here from this vendor, as well as bundles of eucalyptus and wildflowers.
Jone’s Family Farm: This is my one-stop shop for phenomenal goat and sheep milk cheese. Their mold-ripened varieties are the best, and very similar in nature to Humboldt Fog.
