I lived in New York City for five years, post college graduation. Even though I grew up in the restaurant business and have always loved food, my first foray into the world of gourmet markets happened when I stumbled into Murray’s Cheese Bleecker Street store, one Saturday afternoon. I had never seen so many varieties of cheese, or unique accompaniments in my life! I was awestruck. During my years in the city, I returned time and time again; always sampling, always taking home something new to try.
I live (much) further upstate now, so I was thrilled when I discovered that I can order directly from Murray’s, straight to my door. And, what better time to do so than with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. I love the idea of a cozy, simple, date night at home – with all the best things to graze on.
