This smoothie is one of my favorite midday pick-me-up and/or post-run treats. It’s an energizing mix of sweet and spicy, with a creamy finish. The trick to getting that texture and adding great flavor in turn, is to use overly ripe – errr, rotten (shown here) – bananas. It’s not necessary to use fruit that’s within an inch of its life [as I did], but a few brown spots will amount to sugary perfection (Trust me!). If your naners aren’t quite there yet, you could add a couple of drops of honey to the blend too. Happy Sunday Sipping!
