I don’t know about you, but after a particularly brutal winter here in Upstate New York, I am ready for spring, and the fresh perspective it brings. Here are a few of the things I am buying/loving/looking forward to in this new season:
Jelly sandals are going to be all the rage again this year and I am here for it in terms of comfort and practicality. When the weather is warm, I spend a lot of time by the water or on a boat, and jellies are the perfect fit for either of those scenarios. I recently purchased this pair; originally a collaboration between Loeffler Randall and Left on Friday. I love this timeless brown pair, too (And, you can find a more affordable lookalike of the latter here!).
Give me all the green(s)! I am so looking forward to eating dinner on the deck, and an abundance of fresh produce. If you are local to Central New York, I highly recommend ordering your salad fixings and other seasonal vegetables from Post St. Farm until the Clinton Farmers’ Market is upon us.
I was fortunate enough to be gifted two beautiful bracelets from Aurate New York. Aurate has created a line of jewelry that is centered on “durable materials that withstand everyday wear and tear, transparent pricing as friendly as your neighbor’s dog, sustainable practices to protect our planet, and tangible giving to keep our conscience sparkling”. The bracelets I chose were this one, and this one. Both pieces are outstanding quality, and remind me of something my grandma would have worn, which makes me love them even more. Another piece that I have my eye on is this Green Peridot Tennis Bracelet. If you’re interested in purchasing from Aurate, you can use my code CARLYNN20 for 20% off at checkout.
Peridot is my birthstone, so I have a soft spot for almost anything in a chartreuse/fern/lime green colorway. Right now I am loving those colors combined with cream and ivory, butter yellow, and soft peach. Here are a few items I have “added to cart” in that vein:
- The Ari Skirt from Tanya Taylor is the epitome of dressing for summer FUN! The cut is classic, but the mirror embellishments feel so fresh.
- This Brocade Mini Skirt from Renggli is already hanging in my closet, and I cannot wait to wear it! I plan to pair it with a simple white tee and these gold sandals (a classic; I have had them for years now!) for an elevated casual look.
- I love more or less anything that Doen does, but am particularly fond of all their sherbet hues, this spring. The Louden Cashmere Top, worn with the coordinating Iona Short is the perfect comfortable, yet luxurious combination. The shorts come in a chartreuse/sage shade, too.
- Pura Utz is a new-to-me brand, of note for their gorgeous hand-beaded pouches. To coordinate with this particular palette, the Bouquet Pouch is on my wishlist!
I am forever devoted to Flamingo Estate candles, but as of late have been enjoying their pantry items, as well. The Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil has hundreds of 5-star reviews with good reason, and the Persimmon Vinegar is an excellent complement to it. As a strawberry lover, I am this* close to splurging on the Spicy Strawberry Fruit Snack!
